Eirmersive is the national representative body for Ireland’s immersive technology sector, established in 2020 to support the development, advocacy, and advancement of extended reality (XR) technologies — including virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), mixed reality (MR), and real-time content creation tools such as virtual production. Our mission is to position Ireland as a global leader in immersive innovation, creative excellence, and talent development.
We act as a unifying voice for the sector, representing the collective interests of immersive studios, content creators, technologists, and educators. With a firm grounding in both industry and policy, Eirmersive drives cross-sector collaboration, influences national strategy, and connects immersive professionals to resources, funding, and opportunities. We are supported by Creative Ireland and are a member of the Forum for Digital Creative Industries.

Immersive Futures Series
Funded by Screen Ireland, this national roadshow of full-day workshops introduces creative professionals to emerging technologies such as AI, 3D scanning, and virtual production. Delivered in regional hubs, Immersive Futures lowers the barrier to entry for non-technical creatives interested in experimenting with cutting-edge tools. The participant-led format fosters community, collaboration, and practical experimentation across disciplines including film, animation, theatre, and gaming.Roadmap for Digital Creative Industries (2024–2026)
Eirmersive is a key delivery partner in the Creative Ireland-funded Roadmap for Digital Creative Industries, a national initiative aimed at accelerating the growth of Ireland’s digital content sector. This multi-year programme supports sectoral development across immersive technologies, digital games, virtual production, and creative tech. Through this roadmap, Eirmersive is helping shape policy, advise on funding strategies, and deliver targeted supports to strengthen the infrastructure, skills pipeline, and global competitiveness of Ireland’s immersive sector.Strategic Research & Policy Engagement

Skills Development & Apprenticeships
We are co-designing the Apprenticeship in Immersive Technologies alongside Mayo, Sligo, Leitrim ETB (MSLETB) and other partners. This first-of-its-kind programme will provide structured, accredited career pathways into immersive content creation, blending technical instruction with real-world studio experience.Events & Ecosystem Building
Eirmersive regularly hosts meetups, events, showcases, and industry briefings to connect the immersive community. Flagship initiatives include Onward (a conference series co-funded by Meta) and IMMERSE (delivered in partnership with the Western Development Commission), which highlight the creative and economic value of immersive tools across multiple sectors.
